Geo . How to Remove the Front Left Door Panel on a 1994 Buick LeSabreYour '94 Buick LeSabre is a classy, yet reliable car; however, there may be times when you encounter problems with its power windows. Problems may occur when the wiring is loose or damaged. Taking the car to your dealer or to a repair shop to fix the faulty window can be expensive. Why not try to fix the problem yourself? For you to be able to fix the windows, you will have to first remove the door panel of your Buick LeSabre. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Screwdriver Step by Step : 1 Open the front door of your LeSabre. Remove the two screws holding the window switch panel in place using a screwdriver. Pull the window switch panel toward you and lift it off the door. Disconnect the wires behind the window switch panel. Remove the window switch panel and set is aside somewhere safe. 2 Pull out the inner door handle. Locate the screw behind the door handle that secures the plate that surrounds the keyhole. Take off that screw with a screwdriver and lift it off the plate. 3 Unscrew the two screws that secure the arm rest. Lift off the arm rest and put it aside. 4 Pry along the edge of the door panel where it connects to the door with a flat screwdriver. Start in one corner and carefully work your way around the perimeter of the door. When the door panel is almost completely pried off, it will pop away slightly from the door. Carefully slip your hand around the door panel and unsnap the nylon panel snaps that are screwed into the door panel. 5 Wrap both your hands around the perimeter of the door panel and pull the panel toward you. Remove the panel and set is aside. Tips & Warnings If you break the nylon panel snaps, you can buy replacements at any auto supplies store.
Geo . How to Sound Proof a CarThe noise from the road rushing beneath our vehicles can prove annoying. It can interfere with the quality of the sound coming from car stereo systems and make it more difficult to hear conversations among passengers. To help insulate the passenger compartment from outside noise, Dynamat sound-deadening sheets can be installed. They offer an added advantage in protecting against the heat of the road. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Safety glasses Wrench Screwdriver Vacuum cleaner Hose and water supply Masking tape Pen Tin snips Razor blade knife Fiberglass rolling tool Step by Step : 1 Park the vehicle on a level surface. Apply the parking brake and open all doors. Put on your safety glasses. Remove the vehicle's door sill plates by removing the mounting screws with your screwdriver and set them aside. 2 Remove the seats. Loosen the mounting bolts of the front seat with a wrench. (The mounting bolts can be located in the passenger compartment on the seat sliders or under the vehicle coming up through the floor pan and into the seat sliders.) If they are accessible under the vehicle, there is no need to raise the vehicle--they can be accessed by reaching under the vehicle approximately 6 to 8 inches. Once the bolts are removed, set the seats aside on the floor. To remove the rear seat, simply push the seat bottom down and at the same time push it toward the trunk (to the rear). When you feel it pop free of the mount, lift the seat up and out of position. Set the seat outside of the vehicle on the floor. 3 Remove the seat belts and carpeting. Use a wrench to loosen the mounting bolts and set the seat belts aside. Mark each belt with a piece of masking tape and a pen to ensure it goes into the correct location when reinstalled. Remove the carpeting by simply starting at the front and pulling it toward the rear. It is not glued down and will slide out. Set it aside on a clean floor. 4 Clean the floor of the car. Vacuum the entire floor and use a hose to wash it down. Allow it to dry completely before proceeding. 5 Peel the protective covering off of the back of the Dynamat to expose the adhesive and apply it to the vehicle's floor. Take care to work slowly so as to eliminate air bubbles. You can trim the Dynamat to size or cut it to shape with a pair of large tin snips. Be sure to cover the entire floor and push it down evenly to smooth it out. If you get any air bubbles, use a razor blade knife to slit the bubble and push the air out with the fiberglass installation tool. Use the razor blade knife to cut around all bolt holes in the floorboards. 6 Replace the carpet. Slide the carpeting into position and make sure it is straight. 7 Replace the seat belts into their proper position and replace the bolts. Tighten the bolts with a wrench. 8 Replace the seats. Replace the rear seat first by sliding it into position and push it down as you push it into place. When you feel it snap into the track, allow it to slide forward and into the locked position. Replace the front seat by setting the seat into position and replacing the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts with a wrench. 9 Replace the door sill plates by setting them into position and replacing the mounting screws. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver. Close the doors. Tips & Warnings For additional sound deadening, install Dynamat inside of the door panels. Remove the inner door panels and apply to the inside of the doors. Never use a torch to heat the Dynamat in an attempt to make it bend into shape easier as damage to the Dynamat can result. *2. The computer applies electrical current to the injector solenoid for the proper pulse-width, and fuel under pressure is then injected into the intake port just ahead of the intake valve. Some multi-port fuel-injected engines feature fuel injectors that fire in sequence, which means that each injector opens individually just before its intake valve opens. This type of system is more efficient than a system whose injectors fire simultaneously. (For example, if you have a six-cylinder multi- port fuel-injected engine that's simultaneously fired, three of the six injectors 317

Toyota Tundra Regular Cab. * Major engine components Inside the engine are several fascinating parts (see Figure 6-11). At the top are the cylinder heads. These contain the mechanisms that allow the valves to open and close, letting the fuel/air mixture into the cylinders and allowing the burnt exhaust gases to leave. Below the cylinder heads is the engine block itself. This piece contains the cylinders, which in turn contain the pistons.
